Gnomon 5-pack for Classroom Observations

Classroom package of five gnomons with matrices for recording observations (for replication).

The gnomons feature aesthetically pleasing wooden bases and are not sharpened to a point, but blunt. They cast a sharp, clear shadow. The set is packed in a convenient, lockable box with foam inserts cut to fit the shapes of the gnomons. The height of the instruments is approximately 21 cm.

Contents of the kit

• 5 gnomons with a stable, rectangular wooden base and a brass pointer rod topped with a galvanized steel dome;
• 1 x double-sided laminated teaching mat (for repeated use), A4 format, with useful information about the gnomon on one side and a matrix for recording observations on the other;
• 5 x paper matrices, A4 format, for recording observations;
• 1 x box with foams cut to fit the gnomons.
