Description
Polish Flora Wall Chart 90 x 130 cm
This wall chart presents the outline of Poland with the major rivers and more than 50 plant species, including trees, shrubs, ferns, and flowering plants. Each species is named and marked with color codes indicating whether it is 1) a common native species, 2) a rare but nationwide presence, or 3) a rare species found in only a few locations (including endemics).
The species are arranged on the map of Poland as follows:
- Rare species are placed at representative locations, for example dziewięćsił in the south-eastern part of Poland and szarotka in southern Poland in the Carpathians;
- Common species occupy the remaining areas, distributed randomly.
The board should encourage learners to seek answers to questions such as: Why does a given species inhabit a certain area now and in the past? Why did a once common species across the country become rare? Which features enabled a species to expand and occur across the country?
The board is mounted on wooden slats and laminated.
Board dimensions: 90 x 130 cm.
