Description
Apparatus for Photosynthesis Experiments
The apparatus consists of a connected capillary tube, bent and calibrated, together with syringes for drawing and measuring the gas evolved (oxygen) by a freshwater plant (recommended: Canadian waterweed, Elodea canadensis) as a result of the processes of photosynthesis and respiration. The amount of oxygen produced can be studied under varying parameters such as water temperature and the amount of available light. The whole setup is mounted on a board measuring 22 x 15 cm with a rear support for standing. Overall dimensions of the apparatus: 30 x 22 x 15 cm.
- The capillary tube assembly is connected, bent and calibrated, with syringes for drawing and measuring the oxygen gas produced by the aquatic plant during photosynthesis and respiration.
- The amount of released oxygen can be studied under changing conditions of water temperature and light availability.
- The entire apparatus is mounted on a 22 × 15 cm board with a rear support for standing.
- Overall dimensions: 30 × 22 × 15 cm.
