Healthy Eating Pyramid - Magnetic Version

Current, large, and MAGNETIC version of the Healthy Eating Pyramid. This teaching aid consists of 72 magnetic elements from which we build the Healthy Eating Pyramid—the successive levels and the contents of those levels. The advantage of this form of pyramid is the movable elements that enable discussion and debate about healthy eating while assembling it. When assembled, it presents a new version of the Healthy Eating Pyramid and physical activity for students, i.e., children and adolescents in school age. The new version was developed based on the recommendations of the Institute of Food and Nutrition in Warsaw published in 2016 and the latest WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines.

The teaching aid is designed to help explain healthy eating guidelines, both in class and in educational campaigns promoting healthy eating and nutrition principles. Its construction and composition encourage individual contributions as well as group discussions about the foods consumed.

The set contains 72 colorful magnetic elements — 100 percent magnetic — printed on full magnetic foil (not mounted on fragments of foil), for presentation on any magnetic surface (metal, classroom board, …) illustrating the principles and recommendations for proper, healthy eating.

Elements of the set can be freely arranged on a magnetic classroom board. The whole set is well visible, the elements are large and clear. Example dimensions of food images: 10 x 14.3 cm (servings), 9 x 4.7 cm (cucumbers), 8 x 8.5 cm (apples and apple juice).

Dimensions of the assembled pyramid: 102 x 82.5 cm.

Contents of the set (the entire set is MAGNETIC)

• 59 colorful images of foods;
• 10 pyramid elements, including dietary recommendations;
• 5 images illustrating physical activity.
