A notable feature of this teaching board is the illustration showing coastal birds, their silhouettes, and the way they search for and obtain food in coastal areas.
All beaks are shown enlarged, and beside them you can also see the full silhouette of the bird from the corresponding group. Together the board includes over 80 engravings depicting 40 species of different birds.
