Set for Building Simple Galvanic Cells

The set enables the construction of simple galvanic cells, including a demonstration of the assembly and operation of one of the oldest cells—the voltaic cell discovered by physicist Alessandro Volta—showing the transformation of chemical energy into electrical energy.

The kit includes:

1. A plastic vessel with a height of 9 cm (base diameter 7 cm, top diameter 9 cm) featuring clamps along the rim for banana plug terminals (not included—the items can be purchased separately if missing in the lab) and adjustable metal holders for electrode plates.
2. A ceramic, porous vessel matched to the plastic vessel, measuring 8 cm (H) × 5 cm (diameter).
3. Eight electrode plates: copper; zinc (2 pieces); aluminum; nickel; tin; graphite; and steel.

The set facilitates demonstration and discussion of characteristics, including the potentials, of galvanic cells built with the components included in the set. Vessel dimensions are as above; electrode dimensions (except graphite) are 1.9 × 10 cm.
