Designed for classroom demonstrations of electrostatics, this Van de Graaff generator features a full spherical electrode (not a mesh) with electrode diameters of 15 cm and 10 cm respectively.
The discharging spherical electrode is not integrated into the base; it has an insulated handle and 4-mm connection sockets. The drive belt is made of silicone rubber with a high level of insulation.
Maximum voltage on the spherical electrode: 200 kV; spark length: 60 mm! This model is powered manually by a hand crank.
