This illuminated microscope can be removed from its base-station to function as a handheld LED microscope with smooth focus adjustment. When mounted on the base, which then serves as a stage, it enables viewing of microscope preparations, both permanent and temporary. Magnification (zoom): 20x...40x. Battery-powered.

On the handheld configuration, it provides LED illumination and continuous focus adjustment, and when attached to the base it uses the base as a stage for observing prepared slides.
