This kit enables work in four groups and allows the examination of the elemental composition of proteins, their properties, and the detection of their presence in selected food items (using the xanthoproteic or biuret reactions).

• 20 borosilicate glass test tubes
• Glass rod, 200 mm
• Rubber bulb (for pipettes)
• 5 ml borosilicate volumetric pipette
• Spirit lamp with wick
• Stand for the spirit lamp with a grid and ceramic support
• Glass dropper
• Wooden test-tube clamps (2 pcs)
• Test-tube rack
• 5 Pasteur pipettes, 3 ml each
• 250 ml borosilicate tall measuring beaker
• Ethyl alcohol 96% 500 ml
• Sodium hydroxide 250 g
• Nitric acid (V) 250 ml
• Lead(II) acetate 25 g
• Distilled water 1 L
• Copper(II) sulfate 100 g
• Formaldehyde 100 ml
• Sheet with labels for marking samples
