The set contains 151 colorful, magnetic elements, made entirely of magnetic foil (not attached by fragments of foil) for display on any magnetic surface (metal, classroom board, etc.) to illustrate the principles of proper, healthy nutrition.

The teaching aid helps explain healthy eating guidelines, both in classroom lessons and in educational campaigns promoting healthy eating and nutrition. Its construction and composition invite individual participation as well as group discussion about meals.

The set includes two plates — one with a green border and the other with a red border. It can be used to create two meal sets or as a good (green) plate and a bad one containing unhealthy food (red).

On the plates you can place food, choosing from 62 different food items across various food groups, including healthy foods as well as less healthy or even harmful items.

The set elements can be freely arranged on a magnetic classroom board. It is also possible to add and draw additional information and elements (labels, arrows, etc.) next to the magnetic elements. The whole set is clearly visible; the elements are large and distinct. The largest elements (oval plates) measure 21x30 cm. The size of the food-representing elements depends on type—the smallest are hazelnuts about 5x5.5 cm and sausage slices about 3x7 cm, while the largest include items such as a bag of chips about 10x14 cm or a bowl of breakfast cereals about 11x14 cm.

For discussing healthy eating guidelines, the set includes a set of 87 dietary recommendation elements. Compared with the healthy eating and physical activity pyramid, this set contains both foods and dishes that support health and fitness as well as those that may harm. To make lessons more engaging, the set has been enriched with emoticon icons familiar to children and with arrows labeled more, less and swap. Thus next to an element representing dark wholegrain bread we can place a label with an upward arrow and the word more; similarly, next to an element representing light processed bread we can place a label with a downward arrow and the word less. If both types of bread are placed side by side, we can add a label with two arrows (one down, the other up) and the word swap to indicate swapping light bread for dark.
