Artery, Vein and Capillary - 3 Cross-Section Models

Three-dimensional, enlarged models of blood vessels—the artery, the vein, and the capillary. They present the detailed structure of each vessel, both externally and internally, thanks to two kinds of cross-sections — transverse and longitudinal slices that reveal the successive layers.
In the artery and vein models, you can clearly see, among others, the outer, middle and inner membranes, smooth muscle tissue, endothelium, the internal elastic lamina, and a valve (in the vein). In the capillary (also known as a microvessel), the endothelium, a single cell and the cell nucleus are well visible.

The models have been carefully developed and designed for educational purposes by specialists. They are made of plastic and hand-painted with environmentally friendly paints.
