Description
Microanatomy of the Digestive Tract, 3 Models
Set of three anatomical models on a single base demonstrating the structure of three distinct sections of the human digestive system: intestinal villi, the stomach wall, and the small intestine. All models are shown in cross sections and reveal both external and internal anatomy.
Each model highlights different aspects: the intestinal villi model demonstrates macro- and microanatomy in cross section and longitudinal view; the stomach wall model reveals its complex structure through a longitudinal section and a side cut; the small intestine model shows the internal architecture of the intestinal villus through a longitudinal section and stepped side cuts representing the layered structure of villi, which increases the surface area for absorbing nutrients.
The generous dimensions of the models support effective didactic discussion of the roles of individual elements of the digestive tract. Dimensions: 56 x 23 x 24 cm. Weight: approx. 2.2 kg.
- Intestinal villi model showing macro- and microanatomy with cross-sectional and longitudinal views
- Stomach wall model illustrating the layered structure with a longitudinal section and a side cut
- Small intestine model presenting the internal architecture of the intestinal villus with a longitudinal section and stepped side cuts highlighting the layered villi to increase surface area for nutrient absorption
