Educational Floor Mat 3.5 m x 0.6 m – Visualizing the Decomposition of Unsorted Waste Over Time

Durable floor mat, 3.5 m long and 0.6 m wide, presents in a vivid and visual way how quickly, or rather slowly—since waste thrown away into the environment without sorting can take thousands of years—it decomposes, thus depriving it of recycling opportunities. This educational aid invites reflection and learning.

The mat is made of flexible, rollable plastic material with printed photographs of various kinds of waste and time sequences (weeks, months, decades, centuries), showing how these unsorted wastes will biodegrade. An additional element are humorous captions beside some of the photos.

The mat is covered with a special transparent floor laminate highly resistant to wear. This educational aid can be mounted or laid on the floor or other flat surfaces. It can also be permanently attached to the floor like carpeting, using double-sided tape for flooring. The mat can also be stored rolled up.
