A durable floor mat measuring 3.5 meters long and 0.3 meters wide presents in a vivid and visual way how fast—or rather how slowly—waste discarded without sorting decomposes, potentially taking up to thousands of years and thus removing any recycling possibilities. For awareness and learning!

The mat is made of flexible, rollable plastic material with printed photographs of different waste types and time sequences (weeks, months, decades, hundreds of years) illustrating how these waste items, when thrown away unsorted, biodegrade over time.

The mat is covered with a special transparent floor laminate highly resistant to wear. This educational aid can be attached or laid out on the floor or other flat surfaces. It can also be permanently affixed to the floor like a carpet, using double-sided carpet tape. The mat can be stored rolled as well.
