Sun, Earth and Moon in Motion - Tellurium Model V for Classroom Demonstrations

Educational aid, also known as tellurium. A convenient, group version of this model is battery-powered (5 x 1,5V) and enables presentation of phenomena that are difficult for students to grasp in school, such as the rotational and orbital motion of the Earth, day and night, variations in daily illumination, the seasons, and eclipses. The Sun is represented in the model by an orange sphere, from which light shines at the Earth represented by a globe tilted at the angle to its orbit. The Sun and the Earth are mounted on a stable arm, and on a separate boom there is the Moon model, which can be positioned around the Earth. The model is operated by a gear system and can be moved or set manually, illuminated by battery power (switch) – it can therefore be moved freely, and it is made of plastic and metal. On the base there are information labels (English) about the seasons for the northern and southern hemispheres and the designation of the 12 consecutive months; the same information in Polish and Ukrainian is on overlay colored discs. Diameters of the Sun and Earth models: 5,5 cm and 9,5 cm. Overall dimensions of the educational aid: 43 x 20 x 27 cm.
