Collision Study Apparatus for Demonstrating Collisions

The set comprises a curved track about 25 cm long, mounted to the edge of a table or bench, and three balls with a diameter of about 12 mm.

The experiment involves placing one ball on the horizontal portion of the track and releasing a second ball from the top of the track — a collision occurs and energy is transformed during the process.

The apparatus can also be used to compare the effects of elastic and inelastic collisions.
