Description
Camera obscura wooden device
Camera obscura, also known as the pinhole camera, is a device that serves as a precursor to modern instruments (including the photographic camera). It allows users to experimentally explore how it works, its historical applications, and to explain the rules and principles of optics, including the formation of an image in the human eye (an inverted and reduced image on the retina). Light rays entering through the camera's aperture form an inverted image on a semi-transparent plate, visible to the student through the opening on the opposite side. The image can be changed (its size adjustable) by changing the length of the instrument (extending/retracting the inner part). Dimensions: 17 x 11 x 11 cm.
