In a transparent plastic block are embedded 10 samples representing fragments of fibers, yarns, and fabrics, grouped into 5 blocks (two samples per block) and showing the finished fabric as well as the fiber/yarn from which they were produced during manufacture (e.g., the first pair is silk and a cocoon):

1. Silk
2. Cotton
3. Canvas
4. Wool
5. Synthetic fabric

The block is packaged in a bubble-wrap sleeve and placed in a closed cardboard box. Dimensions of the teaching aid: 16.5 x 7.7 x 1.8 cm.
