Communicating Vessels – Borosilicate Glass Demonstration Apparatus

Traditional, still an indispensable teaching aid for presenting equal liquid levels in communicating vessels, regardless of the shape of the vessels. In our range, this teaching tool is made of shatter-resistant borosilicate glass and rests on a secure base.

For classroom demonstrations intended for the entire class, we recommend using colored water for a clearer effect, using, for example, a food coloring. Additionally, the entire apparatus, after filling the water to half the height of the vessels, can be tilted to show the same physical phenomenon with a different arrangement of the vessels.

How to use

Fill the vessels with water up to half of their height, then tilt the apparatus to observe the same physical phenomenon with a different arrangement of the vessels. For better visibility, color the water with food coloring as described above.
