Metal blocks set – 6 different metals with pendants for classroom experiments

This classroom-ready set includes six metal cubes of equal volume (20 mm edge length) made from different metals/alloys: aluminium, copper, brass, zinc, steel and lead. Each cube comes with a metal pendant (hanging loop), making it easy to suspend the cubes on a thread or spring scale and perform experiments in liquids without the cube touching the bottom of the container.

Ideal for discussing in physics lessons the properties of solids (weight, buoyant force, volume) and for determining and comparing the densities of different materials.

Because all cubes have the same size, the set is ideal for lessons on mass, volume and density: students can compare the masses of equal-volume objects, calculate density, and rank materials by density. The hanging loops also make it perfect for demonstrating buoyancy (Archimedes’ principle) - by measuring the apparent weight of a cube in water, students can observe buoyant force in a clear, repeatable way.
