A practical classroom apparatus designed to clearly demonstrate Archimedes’ principle and the buoyant force acting on a body immersed in a liquid. The set includes a stand with an adjustable hanger (for suspending a spring scale), a glass overflow beaker with a drain tube directing the displaced water downward, a collecting beaker, and two test weights - one regular-shaped and one irregular-shaped.

During the experiment, the immersed body displaces water, which flows through the drain tube into the collecting beaker. This makes it easy to show that the volume of displaced liquid is directly related to buoyancy and to compare results for objects of different shapes while keeping the principle clear and measurable.

Typical classroom activities:  

• measuring the apparent weight of an object in water (spring scale on the stand);  
• collecting and observing displaced water to link displacement with buoyant force;
