This classroom-ready set includes 14 blocks made from a variety of solid materials, designed to help students compare physical and selected basic chemical properties through hands-on observation. It is ideal for general science, physics and chemistry lessons, as well as vocational and technology classes-supporting discussions on material selection, everyday applications and simple density-related activities.

The set is well suited for presenting and discussing differences between solids such as mass, texture, appearance, magnetic behaviour, conductivity and durability (depending on the equipment used). Where block dimensions are provided, it can also be used for introductory density work by combining mass measurements with known dimensions/volume.

Using this teaching aid you can also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using specific materials in everyday life and in industry, making it useful in general education (science, physics, chemistry) as well as in teaching vocational subjects.

The blocks are supplied in several sizes depending on the material.
