Hydrogen-Powered Toy Car — Educational PEM Fuel Cell Demonstration

A moving toy car-model powered by pure hydrogen stored in water as a result of using a PEM (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane) fuel cell.

We can observe the formation of oxygen and hydrogen in two transparent water-filled containers placed at the rear of the vehicle. The reaction of oxygen with hydrogen generates electrical energy and water (water vapor) — the vehicle moves quietly, without emitting toxic combustion by-products!

Dimensions: 15,5 x 12,5 cm (photovoltaic cell); 24 x 10,5 x 8,5 cm (car).

Hydrogen-powered cars of this type already exist and drive on roads where hydrogen refueling stations have been built for them (instead of gasoline stations).
