Description
Fruit Battery Clock and Electrochemistry Experiment Kit
Discover the fascinating world of electrochemistry and see how ordinary fruits and vegetables can turn into... a real battery! This unique experiment kit allows you to power a digital clock with a lemon, potato, carrot, or even tea — in exactly the same way that modern batteries work (galvanic cells).
Additional components of the kit enable the construction of a wide variety of electrical circuits and demonstrate that electric current flows in the circuits built by students, as a chemical reaction occurs between metals and acids contained in fruit, vegetables, etc. Students will also find that in some experiments, one lemon is enough to light up an LED, while in others, three or even more lemons are needed.
It is an excellent teaching aid for schools, science clubs and STEM classes. Students will see for themselves that electric current flows thanks to chemical reactions between metals and acids present in fruit and vegetables. It is learning through experience that engages, inspires and develops curiosity about the world
Why is this set unique?
Because it is ECO-FRIENDLY!
The clock case is made of biodegradable filament and recycled eco-plexiglass – materials that are more environmentally friendly.
Real science in practice
Instead of theory → straight to experience! Students learn through play, building circuits, analysing effects and drawing conclusions.
Effective and engaging experiences
From a ‘carrot lamp’ to a tea battery, an ‘alchemist’, invisible ink and creating an electromagnet.
Ideal for schools
The kit introduces chemistry and physics concepts in an understandable, vivid and attractive way.
Safe and well-designed
It includes a set of electrodes, wires, accessories and detailed instructions with a presentation of physical and chemical concepts.
The kit includes:
- Digital clock module in a plastic apple-shaped housing
- LED with two leads
- Electrodes: magnesium (Mg) – 2 pcs, copper (Cu) – 3 pcs, zinc (Zn) – 3 pcs, carbon (C) – 2 pcs
