Alpha Set B Blocks: Programming without a screen (6+) – extension

Alpha Set B is an expansion kit for Alpha Set A that enhances construction and programming possibilities by adding new sensors and command cards. It is designed as a supplementary module and cannot be used independently — it must be used together with the Alpha Set A. With this set, children can create more advanced robotics projects that develop interaction between machines, humans, and the environment.

The set continues the concept of screen-free programming, based on physical command cards. Children select the appropriate cards, arrange them in a logical sequence, and then scan them using the OID module, which sends the instructions to the robot. This learning method allows children to intuitively understand logic, sequencing, and cause-and-effect relationships without using a computer or tablet.

With the addition of an ultrasonic sensor, microphone (MIC), tilt sensor, and potentiometer, children can build projects that respond to sound, movement, distance, and parameter changes. This makes it possible to create robots that interact with both the user and the surrounding environment in a real and engaging way.

The set includes over 350 construction elements made of high-quality ABS plastic. The blocks are characterized by high manufacturing precision, an attractive appearance, and a pleasant-to-the-touch surface. They allow children to build many robot models with varied shapes and functions — from simple constructions to more advanced machines that respond to stimuli.

Curriculum – 16 PBL-Based Lessons

Classes using Alpha Set B are conducted using the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology, where children learn through the completion of specific construction and programming projects. Students build robots according to instructions and then program them using command cards while solving subsequent tasks and challenges.

to support teachers in delivering a coherent and structured educational programme.

The programme develops:
