Robot JD Humanoid - Educational Robot JD Humanoid for the Future of Learning

See the future! The humanoid robot that walks, dances, sings, does push-ups, writes, and plays instruments, and even stands on its head? Meet the JD Humanoid Robot (PL)! Already available in Poland, it can teach, entertain, and illuminate the future... robotics can be friendly!

It can also track objects, recognize speech, and it is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

JD Humanoid Robot is a versatile humanoid robot with amazing capabilities, all wrapped in a simple, friendly, and eye-pleasing design.

Educational robot with accessories compatible with the Laboratories of the Future program
JD Humanoid meets the Laboratories of the Future program
and can be purchased as additional equipment – an educational robot with accessories programmed at different levels and supporting more than one programming language
(e.g., text-based, blocks)

JD is programmable in block-based and Scratch, and also in other popular coding languages (Python, JavaScript). This means users can program JD with custom movements, poses, dances, and even gymnastics! JD's RGB LED eyes can display countless expressions, while learners explore human-robot interactions and practical applications.

Importantly, based on experiences from working with and having fun with JD, this charming humanoid robot achieves remarkable levels of engagement among boys and girls. JD makes learning robotics easy and enjoyable for everyone!

Educational Humanoid Robot Python Scratch Blockly

Can a future-focused robotics experience be any more enjoyable?

JD Humanoid is programmable in block-based languages and Scratch, and can also be programmed in other popular languages (Python, JavaScript). This means users can program JD with customized movements, poses, dances, and even gymnastics! JD’s RGB LED eyes can display countless expressions, while learners explore human–robot interactions and practical applications.
What’s more, based on experiences from working with this charming humanoid robot, it achieves incredible levels of engagement among both boys and girls. JD makes learning robotics easy and enjoyable for everyone!

JD Humanoid is a multi-purpose educational tool:
  • 180° servo motors with PWM modulation (6 pieces)
  • EZ-B v4 robot controller with built‑in speaker and connection ports, 3 fast UART inputs and a camera port enabling object tracking
  • Head with built‑in camera and two servos (for horizontal and vertical movement)
  • RGB eyes to display colors and patterns
  • Body with two servos, built‑in battery and power switch
  • Legs (two feet, each containing 2 servos)
  • Foam‑covered grippers
  • Network card
  • 16 3‑pin female cables
  • 1 camera cable
  • 1 I2C cable
  • Charger
  • Cable organizers (4) for tidying wiring
  • ARC software — PC: EZ-Robot robots are programmed using ARC — a versatile and easy‑to‑use robotics software. The intuitive interface allows beginners to achieve quick success, while more experienced users can program advanced AI features, such as speech recognition and visual object tracking—capabilities usually seen in science fiction. ARC is used to teach robotics to thousands of students worldwide and is an ideal choice for teachers who want to bring a high level of engagement to a wide range of STEM lessons. Minimal OS requirements: Windows 10, an Intel i5‑equivalent processor, 4 GB RAM.
  • ARC Mobile App – Control and program your EZ‑Robot from a mobile device, phone or tablet running Android or iOS.
  • Introductory materials for programming in RoboScratch and Blockly, creating conditional instructions and variables, and building loops
  • Access to files with spare parts for the robot that can be modified and printed on a 3D printer (downloadable open‑source materials)

AI features of the robot: • face detection • color tracking using servos • tracking moving colors • recognizing multiple colors • RoLi line following • object recognition • glyphs controlling robot movement • glyph recognition and augmented reality • QR code recognition • emotion recognition • speech recognition • RGB animations • movements (walking, holding objects, etc.) • ready‑made built‑in programs (dance, singing, headstand, push‑ups, somersaults, etc.)

Our robot has all the traits of the perfect teaching aid:
- friendly design,
- easy to assemble (snap‑together, etc.),
- features including key components (motor, etc.) with enhanced durability (important for school environments),
- simple software for beginners and advanced features for seasoned users,
- tall enough to be treated as a real humanoid (height = 33 cm) and comfortable for individual work and teamwork,
- if a part is damaged or lost, you can purchase any part (!) or print it (plastic components) on a 3D printer (downloadable—open‑source materials)!

CAN A FUTURE-FOCUSED ROBOTICS ENCOUNTER BE ANY MORE ENJOYABLE?

What is a servo motor?

A servo motor (or servo) is a rotary actuator that enables precise control of angular position, speed, and acceleration. Servos can be found in many places—from toys to home electronics to cars and aircraft. Servos also appear behind the scenes in devices we use daily. Electronic devices, such as DVD players, use servos to extend or retract disk trays. Servos act as joints to control the movement of a robot. JD Humanoid contains as many as 16 servos!

What is AI?

AI (from English 'artificial intelligence') is Polish for "Sztuczna inteligencja (SI)", which enables robots to learn from experience (via algorithms) and perform tasks similar to human behaviors. The concept of AI was introduced in 1956 by American computer scientist John Mccarthy at a scientific conference in Dartmouth.
