Introductory Rock Collection (J) for Classroom Geology – Teaching the Three Main Rock Types

Introductory rock collection is a teaching aid presenting the three basic rock groups: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. The set includes a total of 16 specimens: 15 rock fragments (five from each group) and 1 mineral specimen – quartz (the most common mineral on Earth and a component of many rocks). The specimens are placed in a foam box with a foam insert featuring recesses, and the collection also includes a list of rocks and a bell-jar magnifier for studying the specimens.
