The Scale (Type I two-sided lever) is one of the 12 operating experimental models in our SERIES OF SIMPLE MACHINES. Like all simple machines, it can be used to demonstrate the gain in force, calculate it, and discover practical applications. Examples of a scale (two-sided lever) are swings, catapults, scissors, crowbars...

To this experimental model is attached an instruction with a theoretical discussion and ready-made worksheets for teachers and students (separate!):

1. Principles of operation and practical applications.
2. A few simple calculations.

All simple machines in this series are made from a friendly material - wood. Dimensions: 45x7x14 cm. Weight: 680 g.
