Soil Sieve Set - 4-Piece

The six-element set includes 4 sieves and a container with a lid and is designed for separating soil components. Each sieve has a diameter of 10 cm and features different mesh densities. The sieves and the additional container can be stacked, covered with the lid, and used to sieve soil easily, separating and grouping its elements by size to help determine the composition and type of the soil being tested.

The metal sieves are integrated into the bottoms of the plastic cylindrical containers and feature the following sieve numbers: 5, 10, 60 and 230 and openings in millimeters: 3.35 / 1.70 / 0.25 / 0.071 mm.

This means that the sieves can separate gravel fractions (2), sandy fractions (2) and fines including silt. On the sequentially arranged sieves (from number 5 at the top to 230 at the bottom above the container) the retained particle sizes will be, from top to bottom: 4.00 mm / 2.00 mm / 0.25 mm / 0.075 mm.
