Model of a pigeon at natural size in a longitudinal section mounted on a board. The model shows—in three dimensions—the internal structure of the abdominal cavity and head as well as the wing bones. The model is made of colored plastic. It has been designed based on real casts, hence the view of the pigeon in a dissected, three-dimensional form, which allows detailed discussion of the pigeon's anatomy as a representative of birds, including the systems (movement, respiration, digestion, excretion, etc.) and adaptation to lifestyle, including flight. The model is painted with environmentally friendly paints. Overall dimensions: 45x38x6 cm.
