The roadmeter, or wheeled distance measuring device, is an excellent measuring tool and teaching aid for children, adapted to their age in terms of dimensions and form. It allows school children to measure distances. A height-adjustable handle is attached to the movable, rubberised measuring wheel. The wheel is divided into 100 cm, every one centimetre and described by numbers every 5 cm. On one side of the wheel there is a pointer which indicates the distance to be measured and on the other side of the wheel there is a counter which in meters (up to 10,000 m) indicates the distance measured. In addition, the wheel is clicked to indicate the full rotation of the wheel (= 1 metre).
