Can be used to track and compare heart rate during different exercises and rest, provides an assessment of normal and post-workout heart rate.
It can also show how the blood flow fluctuates with changes in load at the fingertip or earlobe.
The sensor has two measurement modes: measuring the heart rate (beats per minute) or displaying the analogue value of the measurement signal.
The electrodes are made on the basis of a plethoscope and a record of blood flow changes.
The sensor contains an infrared LED transmitter and a corresponding infrared phototransistor receiver. For better results it is advisable to keep the sensor out of direct sunlight.
BPM means blows per minute.
