The model practically demonstrates the presence and content of tar and nicotine in cigarettes. The cigarette (not included) is ignited with a pump, and the burnt substances, normally drawn into the lungs by the smoker, are deposited in the model on soft, square filters (6 pieces in a set), which change color depending on the amount of substances contained in the cigarette.
The model has been designed so that "smoking" one cigarette changes the color of the filter - it ensures efficient, effective and effective presentation and prevents smoking more cigarettes during the experiment.
The filter can be easily removed from the model. At higher education levels, filter substances can be chemically analyzed.
The model - thanks to a practical demonstration - effectively supports the discussion of the negative impact of nicotine (including e-cigarettes) on the functioning of the human body, including the nervous and respiratory systems.
This model in the form of an experimental set is also a great introduction to discussing topics such as:
biology - human body - negative influence of nicotine (including e-cigarettes) on the functioning of the human body;
chemistry and health (properties of chemical substances) - the way nicotine penetrates the human body;
health education - health hazards - health consequences of using stimulants and psychoactive substances.
The model consists of a red figure of a man on a white background with a cut-out mouth opening (for inserting a cigarette) and a cut out outline of the lungs, in which a soft, square filter is placed with the help of an extendable, fitted feeder, on which tar is deposited during "smoking" by a cigarette model. The model is very durable, made entirely of layers of colored plexiglass (except for the included hose and pump with a check valve) and placed vertically on the base (also made of plexiglass) so that it is very well visible from a distance and remains stable during the experiment. Model dimensions (without a tube and a pump): 13.4 x 11.5 x 24.5 (H) cm.
