Micrometer/micrometer - a measuring tool based on the use of a micrometer screw and a vernier for precise measurements with an accuracy of 0.01mm. The operation of the micrometer is based on the movement of a micrometer screw with a thread pitch of 0.5 mm, connected to the micrometer drum. The knob providing pressure to the micrometer jaws is fitted with a ratchet clutch to guarantee constant pressure. An additional feature is a brake that allows the jaws to be locked in position according to the measured value. The micrometer is indispensable for precise measurements in various fields, e.g. mechanics, engineering, industry.
