Kipp's gas extraction apparatus for selected gases

The 250 ml Kippa steamer made of borosilicate glass is designed to produce controlled quantities of such gases as hydrogen sulphide or carbon dioxide.
The steamer consists of two vessels, a hydraulic valve, a tap and a laboratory plug. The upper vessel is in the shape of a funnel connected with a hydraulic valve. The lower vessel is hourglass-shaped with a constriction and two holes - one for the assembly of the tap (by means of grinding), the other is closed with a laboratory plug and is used to clean the apparatus.
The whole is made of borosilicate glass (except the plug).
