This educational aid excellently demonstrates the enormous strength and capabilities of the electromagnet – powered by four C (R14) 1.5V batteries (not included), the electromagnet can hold and move a load of up to 45 kg! When the load is firmly attached, we can move it and release it at the desired location. Additionally, at the top there is a built-in carabiner hook for suspending the electromagnet. A striking and effective educational demonstration!

Additional, interesting information:
Electromagnets have found many practical applications since their invention (1823). One of them, over the years, was the traditional school bell. Other, widely known examples, due to their spectacle, are enormous electromagnets used in junkyards to separate and move magnetic car parts, and in waste sorting plants. On a micro scale, we find them inside many everyday devices.
