Magnetic demo kit for atom modeling according to Bohr
Product reference: Che000110
Tax incl.: zł242.00
Description
Magnetic demo set for modelling atoms and molecules based on the Bohr model of the atom is a great educational tool for a teacher. Step-by-step modelling of selected elements and molecules on the magnetic whiteboard enables teaching the structure of atoms, as well as to relate their structure to the periodic table of elements, thanks to the attached elements of this table. It allows to model atoms according to the information read in sequence from the periodic table cell (H, O, Ar - hydrogen, oxygen, argon) with basic information on the group, period, atomic number, mass number of the given element (apart from its symbol and name). Different colours of atomic nuclei and frames for marking valence electrons of connecting elements as well as markings of ionic values in the case of modelling ionic bonds are helpful.
The step-by-step, demonstration modelling of selected atoms and molecules allows for better discussion and understanding of basic concepts related to the structure of chemical atoms and the periodic table of elements, including the information contained therein. Such concepts include: particles of matter, elementary charges, electron, proton, neutron, atomic nucleus, electron sphere, electron shells, valence electrons, atomic number, mass number.
KITS CONTENTS (all elements are fully MAGNETIC):
- 5 atomic nuclei of 16.5 cm diameter - 3 x white; 1 x green; 1 x violet;
- 9 electron shells - 3 shells each with diameter 21, 25.5 and 30 cm (width of each shell: 4.5 cm);
- 29 proton models (red), dia. 23mm;
- 32 neutron models (yellow), dia. 23mm;
- 22 electron models (blue), dia. 23mm;
- 3 elements - cells of the periodic table (11x11 cm): H, O, Ar;
- Model element-cells of the periodic table with explanations;
- 4 frames (6.5 x 9 cm) to demonstrate chemical bonding
- 15 ionic values (- / + / 2- / 2+ / 3- / 3+)
- box.
All elements are 100 % magnetic, as they are printed on magnetic foil (and not glued with pieces of magnetic foil or magnets). They can be displayed on any magnetic surface (metal, blackboard, etc.). WE RECOMMEND!
