Description
Measuring Physical Experiments VideoStem VS-11® It is an innovative and modern physics lab that fits on the teacher's desk and is fully portable thanks to the included case. Experiments can be presented and recorded from anywhere (desk in the classroom, table at home), so the set <strong">is a great support for remote and hybrid physics lessons. Easy and quick assembly of the components of the set thanks to neodymium magnets and threads, ensures a very smooth transition between experiences.
Suitcase VIDEOSTEM VS-11® It introduces the world of physics with the use of modern technologies such as the use of photogates and software for video analysis and data collection. The teacher records and discusses the experience – the student (also remotely) analyzes, models and draws conclusions.
Benefits? The teacher and students focus on the experiment and inference, not on tedious calculations and graphing. Such a way of conducting lessons and conducting experiments adds dynamics and focuses on formulating theses, verifying them, correcting initial settings, practical explanation of physical phenomena and inferences, including mathematical ones, but without the need to carry out all the tedious calculations.
In addition, a very extensive and exhaustive manual contains not only the content of the core curriculum of primary and secondary schools, but is also divided in each section into a part for the teacher and a part-worksheet for students.
The set includes worksheets and tips for the teacher based on specific issues from the core curriculum in an electronic form – convenient when preparing a remote lesson.
Suitcase dimensions: 95cm x 21cm x 51.5cm.
Physics instructions and worksheets – in line with the core curriculum!
In addition to the theoretical discussion of the issues related to the selected module, the manual contains the content of the core curriculum for two educational stages:
- Primary school (grades 6-8)
- High school
The form of worksheets and experiences is aimed at:
- learning to draw conclusions
- selection of units on the way of describing the movement
- graphical and mathematical representation of observations
- Analysis and interpretation of data to determine the cause-and-effect relationship between the motion of an object and the sum of the forces acting on it.
The set includes:
- Mounting Base – There are 40 pre-drilled screw holes in the metal base so that you can attach any model of the system VIDEOSTEM VS-11®
- Measurement board – Gridlines on a contrasting background make it easy to measure and analyze data, both in a traditional way and with the help of dedicated software.
- 11 Building Blocks for Physics Experiments:
- Missile Launcher – Equipped with a protractor and a metal ball. For the study of kinematic equations and the conversion between gravitational potential and kinetic energy.
- Free fall – a module equipped with an electromagnet. For demonstrating, observing, estimating and calculating the acceleration due to gravity.
- Atwood Drop Rod – a module equipped with weights with hooks weighing 100g (2 pcs), a line and a 3.5 cm long spring with a spring constant of 21 N/m. For demonstrations of uniformly accelerated motion, Newton's laws and the operation of blocks.
- Inclined plane – a module equipped with a traditional inclined plane, a movable protractor, a pulley, a rope, a weight and a trolley. For the study of various fundamental physical concepts, including static and kinetic friction, dynamic equilibrium, unbalanced forces, and the theorem of work and energy
- Loop – a module consisting of a track and a loop for the presentation of centrifugal force and the observation of the change of potential energy into kinetic energy.
- Two-dimensional collisions – the module contains a metal track with a small rotating platform and 3 spheres, two metal and one glass. To demonstrate the action of momentum and collisions.
- Hook's Law – the module contains, among others, 3 springs with different spring constants, 9 10 gram weights, a ruler, a hanging handle with an indicator. For experiments with the elasticity of materials and the dependence of stress on strain.
- Pendulum – A module containing a protractor, a bracket and a metal weight. A mathematical pendulum (simple) for studying changes in periods of vibration.
- Ballistic pendulum – a module containing a scaled measuring board with a rod, a sphere, a spring launcher, a pendulum with a cylinder, a bracket and a metal weight. To measure the velocity of the sphere after firing from a spring launcher and to apply in practice the principle of conservation of energy and conservation of linear momentum in a closed system.
- Laser and diffraction gratings – module equipped with a laser, diffraction gratings (500, 1000 lines/mm), plate and plate holder. To demonstrate the phenomenon of interference, i.e. the properties of overlapping waves.
- Standing wave presentation model – the module includes a wave generator, a rope and a handle with a pulley. For demonstration of transverse and longitudinal wave propagation.
- Brackets, rods, screws necessary for experiments and assembly of modules
- A set of photo gates VIDEOSTEM VS-11® – Photogate timer (powered by 9V battery or mains), two photogates, power cables, two sliding brackets)
- Instructions with an overview of each of the 11 modules
- Video measurement software in English – object tracking with overlays and data on position, speed and acceleration, interactive graphic vectors and vector sums, data export
- Mobile case with handles and wheels for carrying and storing the set
