Stereoscopic Microscope 20x MINI – Overview

A stereoscopic microscope for viewing three-dimensional (also non-transparent) natural specimens, other than prepared microscope slides. The microscope magnifies 20x (wide-field eyepieces: 10x, objective: 2x) and additionally features upper LED illumination (battery powered: 2 x LR6 1,5V). The microscope is a good choice for younger and beginner naturalists due to its simple construction and portability (585 g, height = 23 cm), while providing a clear and sharp image.

Stereoscopic microscopes are used for viewing three-dimensional (also non-transparent) natural specimens, and beyond, other than prepared microscope slides. Indispensable for studying, for example, fragments of rocks, minerals, soil samples, insects, plant specimens (whole or parts), metals, and hobby specimens (coins, stamps), etc. Unlike traditional microscopes, no special preparations are required.
These microscopes are also characterized by different magnifications (most commonly used: from 10x to 40x) than biological microscopes designed for viewing specially prepared specimens on glass slides.
