  • The sensor is based on a vacuum measurement in a tensiometer, which is closed by a tube with a special ceramic cover.
  • The tensiometer is placed in the soil after filling with water. If the soil is dry, the water rises in the process of diffusion through the ceramic pores and creates a vacuum in the tensiometer.
  • When we moisten the soil, the vacuum in the tensiometer takes water back to the tensiometer and lowers the vacuum.
