Magnetic colour-coded fractions with 3 types of units, for classroom demonstration

A set of 109 colour-coded tiles, 100-percent magnetic, because fully printed on a magnetic thick foil, to teach and present on any magnetic surface (metal, school board, ...) colour-coded numbers and fractions.

The basic elements of the set are 60 colour-coded fractions in form of 10 magnetic stripes (each in a different colour) cut into pieces: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 12 pieces, respectively. One strip remains uncut and represents 1 whole (1/1). When using the set to teach and present fractions in the classroon, we can set on the school board the following representations of fractions:

1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/12 and 1 (whole), both in the form of a regular fraction, a decimal and a percentage to help students understand relationships between all types of fractions.

The three ways of presenting fractions are possible thanks to magnetic overlay circles with printed regular fractions, decimals and percentages. This allows you to show and compare parts of the whole in different forms. The overlayed units have also such dvantage that we can show e.g. 1/2 in different ways - as half of different pieces; which means that the orange stripe will be half of the yellow stripe, but at the same time the pink stripe will be half of the orange stripe. The most popular fractions are duplicated, e.g. the regular fraction 1/2 is printed on 6 circles.

Another interesting feature is a triple white magnetic kind of a ruler with printed coded colours, fractions and number 1 on the sides, as well as the colour-coded cross stripes indicating the borders of a given fraction tile.

The set can also be used to teach and learn: addition and subtraction * multiplication * division, as well as to visualize concepts such as: long-short; longer-shorter * larger-smaller and many others.

All tiles altogether form a square of 40 x 40 cm, which means that the tile 1 (whole) measures 4 x 40 cm.

The set includes:

- 60 magnetic tiles - colour-coded fractions forming, when folded, a square measuring 40 x 40 cm = 10 stripes, each in a different colour, each divided into a different number of parts;

- 48 magnetic overlays in the form of circles labelled with regular fractions, decimal fractions, and percentages;

- three-dimensional white magnetic ruler with printed sides, coded colours, fractions and a whole, as well as colour-coded cross stripes indicating the borders of a given strip-frame.
