MACHINE TRANSLATION (not authorised yet)
Device for demonstrating and testing the degree of thermal expansion of metals (alloys) using the example of the attached rods: aluminium, brass and steel (length of each rod: approx. 25 cm). Alcoholic fuel (e.g. denatured, spirits) is poured into the metal gutter and set on fire. The rods are placed successively in the guide and heated and expand linearly according to the coefficient of linear expansion of the respective metal/alloy. They expand by swinging the pointer, which swings on the scale indicating the value of the swing for a given metal/alloy. Base dimensions: 30x12,5 cm; instrument height: 24 cm; length of each bar: 25 cm.
