Bimetallic device

Bimetallic strip, i.e. a strip consisting of two metals (copper and steel - iron alloy) with different degrees of thermal expansion and fixed on a wooden handle. The strips are connected with rivets. When the strip is heated up (by a small flame), it is suddenly wound up, which in a simple and effective way proves uneven expansion of both metals (one "pulls" the other). An effective teaching aid to demonstrate the properties of metals in physics and nature lessons in schools. Length/width: 20 x 1.5 cm.
