WATER education kit - filtration, purification, treatment

The model is used to demonstrate and experiment with filtration, purification and water treatment. It simulates natural water filtration processes that take place in nature, where water seeps through successive layers of soil of different structure and structure (hence the set of sand and gravel). It also allows us to present the processes and stages of water purification which are used by people to drink water free of impurities.

The model is made of hard, transparent plastic and consists of 3 pairs of separate containers (6 in total) in the shape of a cylinder with holes in the bottom, superimposed successively on top of each other, into which filtering materials included in the set are poured: active carbon in the screwed container (90 g), sand (3 x 65 g), gravel (3 x 65 g). The whole is deposited on a larger 2-part container collecting purified water.

Additional elements are: 50 ml plastic measuring container, filter paper (12 discs) and safety glasses.


Dimensions of the model (filter tower): 11 cm (base diameter) x 32 cm (height).
