On the board you can see an outline of Poland with main rivers and over 50 animal species (from snail to bison), which apart from their names are colour coded whether they are 1) common in our country, 2) rare, but all over the country, or 3) rare, on few sites (also endemic).
The species presented on the chart are distributed on the outline of the map of Poland as follows:
- rare species were placed on one of the sample sites, for example the European bison /one of the sites/ in the Bia這wie瘸 Forest, and the white-tailed hare in the north-eastern part of Poland /only here/;
- common species were placed in the remaining part, randomly.
The plan should encourage to search for answers to such questions as: "Why does a given species populate (now/ ever?) a given area?". "Why is ......, which used to be a rare species in the past, now a rare species?" "What features of a given species have enabled it to expand and occur throughout the country?" " etc.
The board is framed in wooden sticks, laminated.
The dimensions of the board: 90x130 cm.
