There are 13 natural specimens in a transparent plastic block that show the stages of transformation of a complete mulberry silkworm:

1 - eggs

2 - freshly hatched larvae (caterpillars)

3 - 2nd moulting caterpillar

4 - 3rd moulting caterpillar

5 - 4th moulter track

6-7 - mulberry leaf caterpillar

8 - cocoon (built of one strand of the ritual!)

9 - chrysalis

10 - butterfly, male (perfect insect - imago)

11 - butterfly, female (perfect insect - imago)

12 - silk

13 - silk cloth

Block wrapped in a bubble pocket and placed in a lockable cardboard box. Teaching aid dimensions: 16.5 x 7.8 x 2 cm.
