The aid consists of a curved track approximately 25 cm long attached to the edge of the table/choke and 3 balls of approximately 12 mm diameter. The experiment consists in placing one ball on a horizontal section of the track and letting the other ball freely out of the top of the track - there is a collision and a transformation of energy during it. The aid can also be used to compare the effects of flexible and inflexible collisions.
