MACHINE TRANSLATION (not authorised yet)
The series of Simple Machines is a set of 12 working experimental models - 6 basic and 6 complex. They are designed for practical experience of their operation, illustrating the gain on force achieved by using a given machine, but also for calculating this gain on the basis of specific settings of a given machine. All 12 models are accompanied by an instruction manual with theoretical discussion and ready-made work sheets for teacher and student (separate!).
All the simple machines in this series are made of a friendly material - wood - and are large enough for comfortable experimentation with them. Examples of dimensions: 45x7x14 cm / 680 g (weight - double lever); 16x9x41 cm / 800 g (Block).
Simple machines included in the set:
- The slanting equilibrium
- Gearbox
- Block
- The physical pendulum
- Kline
- Rear gear (linear)
- The crank mechanism
- Weight (double lever)
- Leverage
- The wheel (crane)
- The screw
- Multicycle
Simple Machines can be seen everywhere around us, even in very complex devices. We can even find them in ourselves... All we have to do is pull out our arm and bend it in the elbow.
Experiment with our simple machines - we attach detailed work sheets for teacher and student.
Present serious patterns in practice! Only such learning makes sense.
List of sample experiments - work cards (from several dozen contained in the instructions):
- Leverage types.
- How much profit on strength?
- Can you pick it up?
- The benefit of the block.
- Bike gear.
- The steering wheel.
- Changing direction.
- Sliding effortlessly.
- Friction.
- Pendulum properties.
- What affects the vibration period? (directed scientific experience).
