Simple Machines Series: Gearboxes

The gearbox (rotational transfer) is one of the 12 running experimental models of our series of Simple Machines. Like all simple machines, you can use it to show the gain on force, calculate it and find practical application. Examples of gearboxes (reels) are, after all, handlesbars, bicycles (wheels and pedals), windmills...

With this experimental model there is an instruction with theoretical discussion and ready-made work cards for teacher and student (separate!):

1. Gearbox (operation).
2. The gearshifting adaptation.

All Simple Machines of this series are made of friendly material - wood. Dimensions: 39x9x15 cm. Weight 1kg.

The simple machines can be seen everywhere around us, even in very complex devices. We can even find them in ourselves... Just pull out your arm and bend it in your elbow.

The series of simple machines includes 12 models of simple machines - 6 basic and 6 complex machines designed for practical experience of their operation, illustrating the profit on power achieved by using a given machine, but also for calculating this profit based on specific machine settings in the form of our model.
