Soil screens - set 4

A set of 6 elements includes 4 screens and a container with a cover and is used to separate soil elements. The 10 cm diameter screens each have different mesh densities. The sieves and an additional container can be stacked on top of each other, covered with the cover and sieved without any problems, separating and grouping the soil elements by size, which will help to determine the composition and type of the soil being examined. The metal screens are built into the bottoms of the plastic cylindrical containers and have the following numbering (screen numbers): 5, 10, 60 and 230 and holes (in mm): 3,35 / 1,70 / 0,25 / 0,071 mm.

This means that gravel fractions (2), sand fractions (2) and dust fractions together with clay can be separated on sieves. On successively arranged sieves (from nerve 5 at the top to nerve 230 at the bottom above the container) grain size fractions will remain, successively from the top: 4,00 / 2,00 / 0,25 / 0,075 mm.
